Family Movie Night | April 22

Please plan to join us for this super fun movie night in the Naumann MPR/gym! Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Snacks will be provided. Please RSVP here and vote for the movie you want to see.

Volunteer Needed for One-Time Task

We need an alternate for our Financial Reconciliation Committee (FRC) that meets in early July to review our books. We already have three experienced volunteers on the committee. This is a ONE TIME commitment and only takes a few hours (if even needed)!

The elections for these officer positions will take place during the PTA General Membership Meeting on Thursday, April 7 at 6:00 pm via Zoom. In addition, nominations may be made from the floor during the meeting. See PTA meeting registration info below.

Naumann PTA Now Has a Mobile App!

Once you create a profile for the new PTA website you are eligible to use the app which includes:

• A member directory*
• Events calendar
• Easy navigation to pages on our new web site
• Ability to receive push notifications (can be disabled)

*Only current PTA members have access to the online directory. You have control of what info is displayed, if any for each family member.

Calling all parents of incoming PreK and Kindergarten students!

Online registration will open on Tuesday, April 5th. All families are encouraged to complete the registration online.

If you are not able to complete the process online, Naumann will host an in-person registration event on Thursday, April 7th from 7:30 am - 6:30 pm.

PTA has been busy again this year taking care of our sweet, amazing Naumann staff with a Chik-fil-A lunch in October, cookies and cocoa bar in December, a Taco "Twos Day" in February, a sub sandwich lunch in March, fully stocked teachers' lounges, and other tasty treats.

The Hospitality Committee is always looking for people who love to spoil Naumann staff. Contact us if you're interested in helping out.

Did you know that Naumann has a special room dedicated to hands-on STEAM learning upstairs near the 3rd grade classrooms? This amazing resource gives all students who visit an opportunity to learn and have fun.

The STEAM lab opened to students at the beginning of Fall 2022. Volunteers and teachers helped paint and build the room over the summer. The project was made possible by a combination of funds from PTA and a LEEF grant of $5,000.

Keep an eye out for requests in the future for volunteers to help organize the room and create fun activities for students!

The Texas Education Agency, under the direction of the governor, recently formed a task force to address teacher retention. See Texas PTA President Suzi Kennon's comments about the announcement and use the handy form to compose a message to Gov. Abbott here.
