Executive Board Positions

3rd Vice President (Fundraising Committees)
Communicate with and support the chair of each of our fundraisers and reports back to the PTA Board. Attend board and membership meetings.


Standing Chair (Board) Positions

Communications Chair
Plan & execute the social post schedule for Facebook and Instagram. Coordinates with President, chairs and campus admin to identify what information families need. Works with a small committee of individuals that produce emails to PTA contacts, submits PTA news for Naumann Insider, and updates the PTA website. Attend board and membership meetings.


Room Representatives Chair
Recruit Room Reps for each class. Provide reps guidance with school policies for class parties and teacher support. Attend board and membership meetings.


Special Appointed Committee Chair Positions

5th Grade Graduation Chair
Forms and leads a committee of 5th grade parents to help plan the 5th grade graduation decor, gifts and activities.


Book Fair
Coordinate, plan, and manage the Scholastic Book Fair on campus. This includes working closely with the school librarian, managing inventory, sales, backorders, accounting, setup and closing of the fair, and volunteers.


Buddy Program
Works to recruit and match experienced Naumann families with new-to-Naumann families to foster connection and community.


Educational Access
Focuses on initiatives that increase equitable access on our campus and help build respect and acceptance of every family and student. Supports Kids First and Mix It Up Lunch chairs.


Educational Assemblies
Works with the board to bring 2-3 educational assemblies to our Naumann students during the school year.


Healthy Lifestyles
Organize National Walk, Bike to School days in the Fall and/or the Spring. This position has a many possibilities that Texas PTA has documented to help with ideas: https://www.txpta.org/healthy-lifestyles


Holiday Breakfast Chair
Plan the annual holiday breakfast held in December. Organize entertainment, activities, Santa, food, coffee and volunteers.


Kids First
Helps build a culture of understanding and acceptance on campus specifically around special needs individuals. Request materials from Texas PTA and work with Naumann administration to schedule a time to hold the program.


Major Fundraiser (APEX)
Plan and manage the major, annual fundraiser. This includes making arrangements for selected fundraisers and promoting and executing the fundraiser.


Math Pentathlon
Serves as the School Contact Designee and coaches the Math P team at Naumann. Coordinate with Naumann administration to schedule practices at school and coordinate collection of fees.


Mix It Up Lunch
Promote a healthy, welcoming school environment and reduce prejudice by encouraging interactions across group lines. Coordinate with Naumann administration to schedule a day to host the program during lunch (one-time committment).


Reflections Arts Program
Promote and manage submissions for National PTA Reflections art program, recruit judges, prepare winning entries for next levels of competition, plan an awards event. Ideas: plan a Naumann families art day. Side note: This is an excellent national PTA program that Naumann PTA has not participated in for at least 5 years. We would love to bring this arts program back and see one of our own showcase their talent at the district, state or national level!


Spelling Bee
Plan and manage the Spelling Bee. This includes scheduling the venue with Naumann admin, informing parents and students of the process; and recruits and manages volunteers/judges.


Spirit Items
Research spirit item products and vendors, order items, manage sales, inventory and fulfillment.


Sponsorships
Connects with and recruits local businesses to become Naumann PTA sponsors. This person also ensures that sponsors are given visibility in publications and promoted at required events.


Talent Show
Plan and manage the annual Talent Show (typically late March or April). This includes scheduling the venue (MPR) and date for auditions, rehearsal and the show; arranges facilities; informs parents and students of the process; recruits and manages volunteers.
